most paints now a days are no long lead based. If it was a water based paint, which I am pretty sure it was your cat will be fine. you will know for sure with in four hours of the incident. If she or he is not trying to throw up. If there is vomitting then you may want to bring him or her into the vet. But the possibility of that is little to none. Most animals know what they can and can't drink and eat. It is in their nature that is how they survive.

If the paint is for children, it should be non-toxic. Did she drink a lot or just a few sips? Find the paint, read the label. Watch your cat carefully. If the paint is toxic, or if you are concerned go to the Pet Poison Control Center to get more information. Here is the link: http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=pro_apcc
***UNTIL YOU READ THE LABEL, DO NOT GIVE HER MORE WATER - some toxins can be made worse with water - make sure you know you won't make her worse first!
It should be fine - it should be waterbased - check the ASPCA site to be sure. If you are still really worried, you can call a vet - but the fee will be huge at this time of night.

You've just learned a valuable lesson. For your home to be safe for a cat, it should be kid-proofed for a 3 year-old. So look around and see what might get a 3 year-old in trouble and take care of it. Makes living with a cat so much easier.
Most of the items like that are non-toxic at least to humans, so should be non-toxic for cats. If she hasn't gotten sick by now she probably won't.

check the paint container to see if it has any labels or info on it pertaining to its contents. Most likely kitty will be fine. If you have any concerns beyond that try calling poison control for your area. Have the paint container ready so you can give them the ingrediants list.

If it was washable paints for kids then you really have nothing to worry about. Kids eat that stuff all the time.

Your cat should be fine. The paint wouldn't be suitable for kids if it was toxic.

BURP!!! Poor kitty!! lol
Childrens paints are water soluable, and non-toxic. Your kitty might get a bad taste in her mouth, but she'll be ok! Don't worry!

If it is washable paint, then it is probably water based. I think kitty will be OK.

She'll be fine.
Cats eat out of garbage cans, and drink out of puddles in the gutter - I don't think a dab of non-toxic paint is gonna harm her.
She wouldn't have drunk it if it tasted yuk, anyway.
Don't panic.

Please give her some fresh clean water to drink, and call the vet to see if there should be any concerns on your part. Plus, keep an eye on her. Take care.
