lukewarm water is the best. hot water could irritate the rash more, making it worse and it could also cause burning to the skin. cold water will cause you to be miserable.
try blending up 1 cup of oatmeal in a blender until it's powder form-this pour it under running bathwater. this should help soothe the rash and itch.
you can also try applying benadryl cream or hydrocortisone cream to the rash itself to help soothe it.

Lukewarm to cool is the best. Hot makes the rash itch more. Cold is to harsh as well. Putting some raw oatmeal (1 cup) will also help soothe. Depending on type of rash, as what will calm it. I've also found that aloe vera soothes a very itchy rash.

When toilet shopping we learned that there is a big difference in the quality of coatings. The cheaper ones DO react as the porcelain is thin and not well sealed. Better ones will stay nice longer as its thicker and better quality. I believe those strong chems are now embedded in the cheap layer. Solution: We humans and the world really should not have those strong one. Stores now sell simple green and other non-harsh cleaners Just a little Vim is good.
