My first choice was on my forearm along the crease, but I want to teach someday and I don't think it would be appropriate.

Also, any ideas for colors? I am pretty fair-skinned, and I wanted to get it in white because I hear it shows up well, but I've also seen pictures where the color turns yellowish. My next choice was green, but I didn't want it to look like my skin was rotting or something.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

NOTE: Please don't make stupid remarks about the word "breathe." It's an important word to me and it has significance in my life, so that's all that matters.

Thanks.

If your thinking of becoming a teacher than i would put it right were ur hip and your torso meet. Kinda like right at your hip bone. Just make sure....the person that is doing the tatto is young, you dont want a old man looking down there.

Hi qntsntlrdhd, I think the spot you have chosen is great for that since it is significant to you. My wife is a nurse and can not show her tats at work. Although she doesn't have a tat directly oh her forearm, part of one of her tats does go a little lower than the elbow. Just get some thin, 3/4 sleeve shirts and you will be fine. I love to see nice tats on ladies arms, BTW. Good luck.

And to the guy who made the "convict" remark, that is a great image of a baby smoking a cigarette you are using for a n avatar.

Top of your foot, on your thigh, on your side, lower back, butt.

Probably some of the more discrete locations that are still somewhat easy to show off. Take your time figuring out where to put it. As far as color, I would go with a purple or blue though black is always a fine, classic choice.

I think between the shoulder blades would be nice or along the bottom of your back. I just got a green tattoo and it looks great on me but I think it shows up better on people with fair skin.

I don't think "Breathe" is a good idea for a tattoo. I don't suggest any tattoo at all. I bet your skin is soft, sweet, smooth and lovely. I bet your skin is absolutely PERFECT just the way it is.

But it's your body and no matter what I say, you will go on and get it anyway, lol.

So, as for the colour? It should be a dark pink, such as magenta so it looks good on your pale skin!

Do NOT do yellow or green. YUCK!

Cheers and have fun messing up your beautiful skin.

I have to apologize for the idiots and thier stupid answers....i should have locked the door behind me..lol....

what teachers cant have tats? ever hear of a long sleeve shirt? just saying.....

depending on how important it is to you to SEE your own tattoo, I would be careful where you put it...if its really important and you put it on your back you wont see it much...upper arm, ankle, belly/crotch area....

I wouldnt do white...and a good artist might decline on using white as the main color as well. Blue I think works as one of the best colors for light skin. I like red, alot of people dont sport red tats.

if your looking for someplace that not many people will see if dont want them to is inside your lips which is kinda ironic cuz you "breathe" out of your mouth i got one on the inside of my upper lip love and one inside my bottom hate and not many people know unless i want them to its also a great conversation starter. there are of course other places on your body such as the back the butt other laces where many people usually dont see but none as cool as inside the lip(in my opinion:) and yes your right white does tend to yellow so does the glow in the dark ones but if your fair skinned i wouldnt go with to bright of a color a hunter green would probably look real good on you

On the bottom of your back would be good especially if you have a nice body. It can also give you an excuse to wear midrift tops. The best colour would probably be black, plain but effective.

On your chest where your lungs are.

Dark Blue and Forest Green would be stunning!

You could always get it on your foot or ankle and just wear socks to school :)

and black is always a good color or maybe you can make it like black and red or black and light green or green and white. the possibilities are endless
