Is there any chance anything happened to you around the time or before you turned 13?. My brother is one of the angriest people I know. If you look at him wrong he WILL smash your face in. He, like you was also young when he started to get very angry. We didnt find hot for many years later that a family friend had been abusing him. I dont know what advice to give you. Think about going to see hypnotis, maybe they could shed some light for you. If you dont get on top of your anger soon someone will get hurt or even killed. It does afterall only take one punch. All the best.

The fact that you do want to control your anger, indicates that you will certainly be able to do that! yes, you will be able to do that: say that to yourself over and over again and again, repeat that a few times to yourself a few times daily! Fine, you have made a beginning in your efforts: now, be assured, you don't need anyone's help for this, you only have to make a sincere, genuine effort. Exercise, diet, relax, listen to good soft music, read some good books with a purpose (some works of James Hardy Chase and some of Erle Stan Gardner, clearly bring out the possible disastrous results of blind anger, and what it can do to one! On the other hand, works like "Art of Happiness" by Dalai Lama, some books of Deepak Chopra and of Eckhart Tolle give you some very valuable, positive tips on how o go about getting a good grip on urself!). from here on, you will know yourself what next steps to take! You will be your own Guru, counsellor, and you will certainly get rid of that anger from your system!

I've known a lot of people that have had this problem, and they each had a very different reason for it, but the one thing that they all had in common was a sense of entitlement. They all felt that they were owed something that the world didn't want to give them. They thought they deserved for things to be easier, or for things to come faster, or be better. They thought, mistakenly, that other people had it easier than them, instead of the truth, which is that other people have to work as hard if not harder, than them. The only thing that I can think of that may help, is to realize why your parents had you: It was so that you could be a part of the world, not so that the world could be a part of you. You have to realize that each person on this planet has their own hundred years to worry about, and that each of them really owes only themselves something. They owe themselves happiness. They just have to find a balance between finding that happiness and being selfish about it. I really hope this helps.

I know exactly how that feels. Sometimes it's really hard to forgive and forget when someone does something to you.
Most of the time when I get extremely angry and enraged, it's because I have thought of something that someone did to me in the past and then I start fuming and brewing.
But the problem with that is that it is in the past and there is nothing I can do about it, I just have to accept that it happened to me and try to get over it although it's really hard.
If you have never had anything "bad" or "traumatic" happen to you then you have no right to have all this anger inside you.
BUT, if you have had one or more experiences where someone has hurt your feelings, your ego, insulted you, poked fun at you, cheated you, or even hurt you physically, then you have EVERY RIGHT to feel this way. Now it's time to try to let it all go.
E-mail me and let me know how things are going, hun.
Big hugs to you and Cheers

What makes you angry? Are there certain situations? Have you checked for a chemical imbalance? You sound like you want to change, are you actively trying the methods that anger management has tried to teach you? When are you the calmest and happiest? What about those situations is different then when you are angry? Have you tried keeping a blog or a journal?

I know that earlier in my life I felt the same way. Anger management was a joke to me and I have taken it several times.
What I discovered is that I was suffering chronic anger because of unresolved issues that I wasn't facing because I didn't know how. Alot of it also was from a major anxiety complex that comes from a rough childhood.
What has helped me is prozac and lithium and alot of self examination about what are my actual buttons that causes my anger to surface.
To be honest with you this cannot be solved overnight, but if you are determined enough not to suffer with chronic anger then you must examine what happened in your past that you haven't resolved.
You may have noticed that some of the responses to your question are very foolish and show that those individuals have anger issues also. For some anger is contageous. Anger often is one's way of defending against a harsh world. Unfortunately it also hurts oneself.
Another thing to examine is how self chritical you are. One of my problems was that I harbored an incredible amount of self hate due to my father's constant chritisisms as a child and I ended up with an overweening superego that I could never please. Part of the self healing is to learn what compassion is and give yourself permission to make some mistakes.
I am not going to say that I have conqured anger one hundred percent. But one prison sentance for aggrivated battery was enough to get serious about learning the multiple techniques that it takes to resolve the self hatred part of anger and learn not to attack people who are rude and hurtful.

good thing about anger is that u still has a lot of unused energy.so give this energy a direction and u will find peace.in our body there r 7 energy centre and when our mind become still free from desire these centres energy can be utilised to do extremely useful work but for a while good diet ,exercise loving attitude and proper sleep will do .but if u become angry again just watch ur anger dont supress it just watch it and concentrate ur breath in and out and as u will become aware for 5 min i hope ur anger will disappear

You need a good psychiatrist that would be able to tell you exactly what is going on with you. It could be so many different things but it's hard to find out by yourself. You can search the Internet for different types of things, like depressions, bipolar 1 or bipolar 2...... I don't think you have any of those though.
