Something cheap... like:
- frozen pie crust
- $0.50 box of instant chocolate pudding
- whipped cream
The cream amd the pudding should get you through a few pies each. Also, if you like you can easily use different flavors of pudding.
As an added bonus, pudding pies make the most entertainment for hands-free eating.

We use to have those at school for winter carnival. The recommended pie of choice was anything pudding based messy, funny, cheaper, and easy to make in large numbers.

Well, since the pies will be gobbled and not really appreciated, you should get the least expensive. The fat in cream pies are most likely to make them sick, so lemon meringue and maybe apple are easiest to get down and keep down, if you know what I mean.
