One needs to know what media you are trying to treat (sandy clay, clay, silty-clay, sandy-silt).
Factors such as porosity,permeability and fraction of organic carbon should be known when determining the effectiveness of BioRemediation.
The size and concentration of the plume, transmissivity should be determined.
Lastly, you need to know the life expectancy of the bugs (some will live for a couple of weeks, others for months). Feed them oxygen and they will thrive. Measure CO2 to determine their effectiveness.
Find a manufacturer (or make your own) and dump them in the soil or groundwater for use. If you are using for soil only, they will need to be injected (if insitu) or mixed on the surface with the soils.
