The Qur’aan is simple and easy to memorize. Allaah says: “And We have indeed made the Qur’aan easy to understand and remember, so is there anyone who will remember it?” [Surah Al-Qamar: 17]

The problem lies in a person’s determination and the truthfulness of his/her intention. So if a person has true determination and a strong interest in the Qur’aan, Allaah will facilitate and make easy his memorization of it. There are also some other things one could do to help in memorizing the surah such as allotting a specific suitable time every day .

You should also constantly repeat over and over again what you recite, until it becomes firmly established in your heart and mind. You must also act upon (what you learn from) the Book of Allaah, for that is the greatest means of learning the Qur’aan. Allaah says: “So be dutiful to Allaah and Allaah will teach you. And Allaah is the All-Knower of everything.” [Surah Al-Baqarah: 282]

Also, DONT try 2memorize the whole surah in one day. try 2 memorize 2 verses everyday or so untill u complete the whole of it. plus, whteva uve memorized repeat it infront of ur mother/sister/father/brother. itll be better dat way. surah mulk is a very simple surah trust me! also, say it aloud when memorizin not in ur mind.pray 2 Allah 4 guidance, who is a better teacher than Him?
May Allah guide u Ameen.

Alhamdullah! What works for me is to learn 3-4 ayah per day. Sometimes, I have to limit my ambitions to 1 (I know how you might feel). Also, I was given a gift of short surah that broke down the surah by ayat and segment of the ayat. Basically you you repeat along with the instructors. I'm not sure if Al-Mulk was in it, but you can visit the site at www.almasjid.com and maybe you can order this useful tool. The masjid I referred is in Columbia, SC.

Any questions, hit me up insha'Allah. The e-mail's open.

I completely agree with Adia, its mostly about the flow of the verses, and when u think about it, ull find that this flow makes sense, hence ull always be able to remember what the next verse is!
as for me i memorised Surah Al Mulk simply by reading it twice every day as we muslims should, and day by day i became less dependent on reading it from the Quran, just check few verses from time to time, and by the end of the week i memorised all of it.
U can also keep playing it all the time, in the car, in the house, b4 u sleep, ...etc
Also, u should take it easy on urself and remember that God is testing ur determination, then He will make it very smooth for u once u pass the test!

Memorize 3 verses at one time.
3 by 3 , Al Mulk is not a big chapter, you'll get it.. and immediately look up the difficult terms to understand the Sura, that'll make you memorize it better.. use the 3 verses in your prayers, till you memorize them...

Reward yourself for the first 3 verses.. this will motivate you, and don't listen to deep sky, he's an evolutionist, despite he didn't evolve yet, he's still a cockroach.

Good Luck

With all what the fellows have told above........One more thing is that you just recite it daily !! Sura Mulk is a short chapter and like it is also advised to read it after Isha prayer.......(don't know the source but this is practised in my part) so once you recite it daily i m sure you would remember it within two weeks or even before that...that was my experience !Once you read something daily it get memorised automatically........don't take tension for that !!

All the best !!

And Deep sky!! you are a hopeless Bigot !
Ignore this hater ! he/she want you to do what she has practised in her own life !

Memorize where to stress the verses, the proper way to say it. Remember that the Qu'ran is arabic poetry, like when you memorize a song you memorize the melody. Same applies to this, memorize the flow of the verses, where to stress, where to stop, where to take your breath and how all the verses connect one after another.

Try to understand main message in Surah, then try to understand meanings of each word as well. that will help you to remember words according to its meaning and main message in mind.
That will also help you to get teachings of Surah and help you to spread and share that information and knowledge with others as well.
May Allah help you Insha Allah. Amen.
Remember me in your prayers. Jazak Allah Khair.
Wassalam.

I'm not a Muslim, but I've read the Qua'ran.

I'd advise you to first of all, cool down.

Let it become something like a song you like.

Then you'll get it in your memory easy.

Being tense will only make it harder.

Ma salamah.

Allah Hafiz!
