3 pesons die from an accident. the three are equally good, equal age/sex etc...
the only difference is that one is an atheist, one is a christian, one worships zeus.
if the christians are right, and god had to choose two persons(no more/less) to go to heaven for eternity, which ones would he choose and why?
if the zeus person is right and zeus had to choose two persons(no more/less) to go to heaven/olympus/some happy place for eternity which ones would he choose and why?
obviously if the atheist is right, they just all cease to exist.
state your religion/lack of one and your answer...

In my opinion, the Christian God would pick the Christian (of course) and the atheist (at least he chose the right god to not believe in). Of course God would not have to pick 2 because, being omnipotent, HE sets the rules of the game.
Zeus would pick the 2 with the cutest butts because he seems to have been much more interested in sex than religion or philosophy and he ALWAYS carried girls off somewhere.
I follow my own beliefs which are hard to sum up in a paragraph. My personal god is the happy place of all eternity and she is me and everything else that can be imagined.

The Atheist and worshipper of Zeus go - the Christian loses in all three.
Atheists go because they are the smartest, purest of soul, and have the courage to face life on their own terms. Zeus worshippers go with their god for obvious reasons.
The Christian God takes the Zeus dude over the Christian because he lived in a pre-scientific world and can, therefore, be somewhat excused for his ignorance; whereas the Christian remained stupid by choice. Since ‘stupid’ is inconsistent with Godlike knowledge, Christians must have been made the furthest from God’s ‘image’ and, so, miss the boat.

I'm an atheist.
In this hypothetical situation, I think Christian God would choose the Christian and the atheist, as worshipping another god would be worse than not worshipping any.
Zeus would not choose the Christian, for the similar reason.
I don't have an exact quote, but Penn Jillette once said that the safest option is atheism.

I'm an atheist.
If the Christians are right, then God is love, and so all three go to heaven.
If the person who believes in Zeus is right, then it depends on how old his/her beliefs are. The earlier Greeks thought that all spirits went to the underworld, no matter how they lived their lives. Later Greeks thought that some heroes go to the fields of elyssium (sp?). So, as long as all three live heroic lives, I guess they go there.

Sorry, but I can't speak for an omnipotent God. I don't know how he thinks and how he judges men... I'm sure their ACTIONS would speak louder than what they believe in. As a buddhist I believe in karma- cause and effect, so if all were equally good, all would be reborn somewhere equally favorable.
Someone else said it- the omnipotent gods would make the rules as they see fit, and will not be confined to following man-made rules (I.e- Picking only 2).

Only God is good....and no one is going to heaven without Jesus Christ....and that is why Christians have an urgency about repentance and acceptance of our Lord because their eyes have been opened to the truth and they know Jesus personally and they know that those who do not believe are already condemned even though God wishes none to perish and all are welcome but they must choose; God puts before us blessings or cursings and we choose... whoever does not come to the cross and admit their sins against God and ask His forgiveness by accepting His new covenant; believing even on His name; Jesus Christ then their eternity, it is Written, includes knashing and knawing of teeth...
God is a Holy God and can have nothing to do with sin...therefore by His mercy and grace He made a way for us...we must have our sins covered by the precious blood of God's only begotten Son; Jesus Christ---

The christian is Going because he knows the one true God, the atheist has rejected God his hole life so he gets nothing and the other has worship a false god namely satan acting like Zeus and God calls that idolatry and sends him to hell, so the christian wins by knowing who to believe!!!!!
