This is the shade tree way. Remove the sparkplug and Bump your starter until the cylinder that is in doubt is in the top position. Make sure it is on top of stroke. Remove the distributor cap and see which wire the rotary is pointing at, that will be the plug wire to that cylinder. Do each cylinder that way to straighten out the firing order.
