I think i heard you can get it from any smoke, not just tabacco.

There has been a link established between cooking fire smoke and cancer in third world countries. Campfire smoke can increase your risk of cancer, but as with anything, it's the dose that makes the poison.

Occasional exposure to campfire smoke probably does not put you at significantly increased risk. Daily exposure for years on end MAY increase your risk, assuming you're not excercising more as a result of being on this long camping trip.

Smoke is all natural - lightning starts fires all the time - so don't let anyone tell you that the reason it causes cancer is because it's "unnatural."

LIFE causes cancer if you live long enough.
