The hyG Ionic™ Toothbrush
Plaque is stubborn because it has a positive polarity, while teeth have a negative polarity. This means that plaque is attracted to teeth, much as dust is attracted to objects in your home. The hyG Ionic™ Toothbrush breaks this ionic bond by temporarily reversing the polarity of tooth surfaces. As you brush, plaque molecules are actively repelled by your teeth and drawn to the hyG’s negatively charged bristles, even in hard to reach places in your mouth.

It all depends on what you want to accomplish. If you have a cut in your mouth, inflammation, or swelling then hot salt water rinses is the way to go because it is antibacterial, reduces swelling and inflammation, speeds healing, and can be used as often as necessary without doing any harm or damage. Mouthwash, on the other hand, usually contains alcohol and will irritate any type of wound in the mouth, sting like hell, delay healing, and dry out intraoral tissues over time if used consistently. If you want something to give you temporary fresh breath (like for 5-10 minutes or so) then mouthwash will do the job but an alcohol free mouthwash would be preferable, IMHO. Salt water will do little, if anything, to get rid of breath problems. If you have a sore throat salt water is preferred again although it will not give you the "numbing" feeling alcohol containing mouthwashes will provide. Basically mouthwashes treat the symptoms of a problem instead of the cause and treating the cause is always better than treating the symptoms.

Warm salt water is good for mouth ailments, especially sea salt. And it won't hurt you. There are peroxide solutions on the dental aisles of your local stores that are good, also. You can use both. Oxyfresh is a good product. You can rinse your mouth with peroxide cut with water, too. If you use it full strength rinse immediately and don't leave in for very long. If this bothers you then cut with up to half water.

it's ok but I think it's better if you gargle salt mouthwash if you have a sore throat. I've known people to use proxide as mouth wash I would just stick to Listerine just use three times a day!

Warm salt water is good to gargle with for many mouth/throat ailments. Besides, it's what people used before the pharmaceutical companies came up with all their chemical concoctions.

I've had dentists advise using mild saltwater solution after dental work that affected my gums. I suppose it would help gingivitis too.
You should ask your dentist to be sure.
Generally, I wouldn't overdo the intake of salt (you can't avoid swallowing some), so don't use it too often.

It will not cause harm. You should be sure and brush your teeth and take care of them. Salt water helps many problems, even congestion.
