Warrant information is public record. It depends on which state you're asking about. Some states have warrant information listed by county. You can contact your local Sheriff's Office or Court Clerk's Office and see if your state has warrants listed online. If not, you'll need to know which county the warrant is out of and contact that county's Sheriff or Court Clerk. There is also the possibility that the warrant was issued by a municipality. If that is the case, the county won't have any record of it, you'll have to contact the Police Dept or City Hall of that city to find out. Some larger cities have warrant information listed online.

No! And many are sealed! Police don't want people to know there is a warrant out for their arrest until they arrest them.
You can't even get criminal records of a person without their permission!
Its illegal for cop friends to "run them out"! That's a good way to get fired!
If you think someone has, tell the police their name, if they have a warrant I suspect the police will show up at the door!

Have a cop friend run him/her out.
Tryin to rat someone out?
Call the cops and tell them "JOHN DOE, Birth date 1-1-1985" is staying over at "wherever" and you know he has warrants.
The call taker will get a description of the guy from you and as much info as possible. If a few cops show up a little later, then BAM, the guy had warrants.
Don't pull that one if hes your bud though.
"No! And many are sealed! Police don't want people to know there is a warrant out for their arrest until they arrest them."
---Not True. A person is mailed a copy of their warrant of arrest when its created. It simply says "John Doe" is wantd in "This Court" for "These Crimes" and any law enforcement that comes across "John Doe" will take him into custody.
"Its illegal for cop friends to "run them out"! That's a good way to get fired!"
---Not True. Cop buddy runs him out. I didnt say he gives info back to the guy. If subject has warrants then , BAM an easy arrest stat. Lame though. Nothing like a SIF.

get the person in the car with you, drive by a cop doing 60 and run a light or stop sign, and then act stupid when the cop comes up to the window making comments like " put that away before he sees it man" that will get the question answered quick. of course it will also get you locked up with the other party so I hope you are the larger of the 2 or you may be in a lot of trouble. hmmm, wait a sec, you already would be in a lot of trouble, scratch that, don't try it. but you could always look up on some states sites if they have courts listed on it. then you could type in the persons name and see if they are being formaly charged or under rand jury indictment since thier name will show up under cort records.
Sorry to the guy who said that criminal records are private but actualy unless a judge orders them sealed ALL criminal proceedings are a matter of public record and if you like you can actually go and sit in the court room and watch trails all day for no other reason than wanting to watch them. once again, unless the judge orders a closed courtroom ( wich is incredably rare) all cases are a matter of public access. Heck, we had a high school field trip to watch a case in my politics and law class.
