I am really glad that you guys show who you like and dislike. This is what sports is all about. Nascar fans are brutal but some honest. Some think if you win that you are a cheater and these people are a little ___ "you fill in the blank".
My question, don't you think it is great that we stick to our teams or drivers and the cheating thing is for some sore losers?

Here we go again hating on Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. why Hate the driver with the best team and best car out there? why do you all point fingers at someone when they win 2 or 3 races in a row? that's just like when everyone said Jeff Gordon was Gay and everyone hated him cause he was winning all the races.so YES I do think we should Stick to our drivers and YES cheating is for SORE Losers if Jimmie Johnson and the Lowes team was such losers then why did he win the Championship and $16 Million Bucks? as for Formula one? thats SUCKS. So If none of you don't know anything about nascar then stop coming on yahoo answers and bitching about something you don't know anything about.if you aren't a true nascar fan then stay out.

How boring would this forum be if we all agreed? That is the great thing about NASCAR, the rivalries and personalities of the sport. I've had so much fun defending Jimmie through the last 2 weeks of accusations that I can't even imagine what it would be like if he was very popular. I look at a lot of stats and it is hard to argue with the body of work that Jimmie, Chad and the rest of the team have put together every year they have been racing for the cup. 23 wins through the 2006 season (25 now), 66 top 5s and 110 top 10s. The only guy that is anywhere near that is Tony Stewart (21 wins, 69 top 5s and 102 top 10s) so I tell them to bring it on and show some proof that the 48 team sucks as bad as you say they do. The cool thing though is that I can not like a driver but still really respect them and appreciate what they bring to the table.

Thats the difference between NASCAR fans and other sports fans. Nascar fans are some of the most loyal and nicest people. Other sports like baseball fans tend to have loyal fans as well but they can be fickle during losing streaks that occur more often than in NASCAR. Nascar fans are some of the most passionate sports fans in the world. No one sport continues to attract 100,000 fans each week and yet still has millions watching on TV. As far as cheating, most drivers don't work on their cars because they don't have the mechanical experience and its not their job. They are the spokesperson for their team. I think if you want to blame somebody for cheating blame the crew chief who dictates the adjustments and setup.

There are many non NASCAR people that have stereo typed the fans as rednecks. NASCAR is a National Sport now and fans are everywhere. Back in the 50s when the races were locally in the Southeast, the majority were kind of red neckey but no more.

Nascar racing and college football can cause more arguments that blowing you nose on you wifes dish towels.
I would say 75% of the NASCAR fans follow their favorite drivers/teams.But the other 25% go with the driver winning the championship at that time.

Tru Nascar fans are loyal to the sport as a whole, but VERY loyal to their driver/team. The bickering and blaming is as much a part of racing as is trading paint and "bump" drafting.

Not all fans are like that. If the guy who won actually cheated, then it is a legitimate statement. We may not like who wins every week, but not all of us say the winner (if it's not our guy) is a cheater. There are a few (or at least one) out there who happens to be winning who has been caught cheating 5 or 6 times in the last few years. Not to say that he cheats every week, but hey, if the shoe fits.....
