Sometimes when I wake up in the morning or if I'm laying on the couch and I get up rather fast I get dizzy sometimes to the point where I have to sit back down b/c I feel like I'm going to fall over. I've never fainted in my life if that helps info wise. One person I've talked to told me it happens when you are tired? I'm not too worried right now b/c it only happens from time to time... but still I don't want to wake up one morning and face plant into the floor.

quite common, go to the doctor and have your blood pressure checked, and in the mean time get up gradually, sit on the side of the bed for a few minutes for your blood pressure to even out before standing.

Most dizziness is to do with blood pressure.

Always take your time getting out of bed or up from the couch. If you find yourself in a dizzy spell, lie on the floor and put your feet up on a chair or the couch. The key is keeping your feet higher than your head. Stay there until you feel better.

You may also be getting sick (some viruses and what not make you dizzy before you show proper symptoms).

It could also be blood sugar hassles, in which case, you need to make sure you eat frequently, to keep it level.

there are all kinds of reasons why that might be happening. Sometimes it's caused if you take too many aspirins and that thins your blood and makes you feel faint. I also heard that if you drink too much liquid you also could thin your blood and that would make you feel faint. Maybe you're not eating well. Maybe you don't have enough meat in your diet for iron. Maybe you need some multiple vitamins with minerals. Or, it could be a sign of something more serious wrong with you (get a checkup at your doctor's office...they will test your blood and make sure you're ok). If you are female it could be due to menses. It could also be due to heat and not enough water in your system. I don't know. I'm not a doctor.

I have that problem too. The last time i went to the doctor, he told me that i haven't got enough nutrients and told me to eat some liver, lamb, beef, organs, etc.
But the thing is i don't eat those kinda stuff i'm vegetarian lol.
But anyway, after a few years later, I don't get anymore of these dizziness even though i didn't eat what the doctor prescribed.
So that means you're weak and haven't got any nutrients in your body. Or if you are suffering from anorexia or other eating disorders, you have to start eating now!!!
Otherwise, just wait for it to go away, it won't stay there forever.

Man I remember that happening to me, Time to time and man it feels like if you were in a boxing match and when one person Get KO'd They black out stiff straight to the floor,(at least thats whats looks like is about to happen with out feeling the pain of a knockout punch of course) But anyway there was this one time when I was like 15 or 16 and I was sitting down for a hour or two watching Saturday Morning Cartoons and I just got to I guess stretch and as soon as I stood up it got pitch black in 2 seconds and Fell on this hard wooden chair face flat. I don't know how much time exactly I was on the floor but Im guessing after a few Seconds I heard my Brother telling me "Stop Playing around and making Noise" and I tried to tell him that I blacked out, but he wouldnt belive me he said it looked like I did it intentional. Well I don't Have an answer to that except Don't get up to fast. and if as soon as you think that you are starting to get a blackout(Thats what I call it) Sit right back downeven if its on the floor. P.S. By the way I Remember that it hurted me when I fell on that chair :)

This is usually orthostatic hypotension. Basically, your blood pressure is too low when you to stand. Your blood pressure fluctuates depending on what your body requires. When you are laying down and resting, it lowers. When you stand, it doesn't have time to adjust quickly enough and you feel dizzy. Just dangle your feet for a moment before standing and it will give your body time to adjust. It is possible that you could pass out from this so it is best to be careful.
