Here are two sites that make such claims, and are moderately credible. Please tell me how you would counter these claims. Only serious responses please. Provide links, or sources. I dont want your reasoning to be based solely on your belief or faith.

I believe it is evident there was a man name Jesus who became a leader of some Jews, and who died on the cross.

I feel there was a great & wise man named Jesus who drew many followers. When he died, the stories circulating around him got bigger & bigger, maybe fed by older stories referred to in your first site.

I am not a Christian in the most commonly understood sense, but I strive to be in the strictest definition for I always strive to be "Christ-like."

Ahh,the copy catters at work again.
The story of Jesus was not based on pagan myths. All of the themes of the New Testament, and the story of Jesus, are found in the Old Testament, including:
Ascension of Jesus to the right hand of God (Psalm 110:1),Atonement by blood (Leviticus 17:11),Begotten Son (Psalm 2:7),Crucifixion (Psalm 22:11-18, Zech. 12:10),Incarnation of God (Isaiah 9:6,Zech.12:10),Resurrection of Christ (Psalm 16:9-10,Isaiah 26:19),Return of Christ (Zech. 14:1-5,Mic. 1:3-4),substitutionary atonement (Isaiah 53:6-12),trinity (Gen. 1:1,26,Job 33:4, Ex. 6:2-3,Num. 12:6-8,Psalm 104:30, Is.48:16),virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14),and the worship of Jesus (Psalm 97:7).
I also suggest that you have a look at these pages and essays, which refute the claims of those websites you showed.

Remeber, just because a website looks all pretty and has a fancy name, does not make it credible.

I think it's a little harsh to accuse Jesus of being a fake, when it was Paul who added a lot of the trimmings after Jesus was dead and unable to stop him.

The myth of Christianity is a copy (more accurately a pastiche) of earlier mythology, but that's not enough to justify slandering Jesus for the tresspasses of his followers.

I strongly disagree with your sentence, "I don't want your reasoning to be based solely on your belief or faith." Christianity that has any credibility is based solely on faith. The Scriptures say: "Let us live by faith, not by sight." To me, Jesus is not a copy or a fake. I don't need the Shroud of Turin or a box of old bones or any physical proof at all to convince me that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
