One time, in the desert, I saw jackrabbits playing 'chicken' with trucks. They'd take turns running out in front of them, then see who could wait the longest.

One ran in front of mine and didn't run away; instead, he ducked and let me zoom right over him. When I looked in the rear view mirror, he was standing up in the middle of my lane, safe and sound.

Animals are completely insane, thus, they are forgiven by default.

this is silly, how can you know if he just ran out, not knowing he would die or he jumped in front of it on purpose?
