alot of these people arnt paying attention to the 'subtle' part of your question. one good sneaky way to find out is, when you have a conversation, somhow get the conversation to where u two are talking about traveling, ask her where she would want to go, and when she tells you, ask her who she would go with. 99.999% of the time she will say she wants to go w/ her bf if she has one, but if she says her girlfriends, or family or somthing like that shes almost definatly single.

Ask her friends or hang out with her friends women cant go a whole conversations without saying well staceys boyfriend did this...Or ashelys boyfriend was sooo drunk on friday. It doesnt take a CSI detective to find out if a girl has got a man around. You could even tell by her body langauge.

I've got one... They asked it to me and I find it quite subtle. Just take the conversation to the subject of true love and tell her there's a right guy for her and that she has yet to meet him. Then say, "Unless you've already found him..." If she says yes... well that would be bad luck. If not, just go ahead and ask, "What, isn't there anybody special?" or something along those lines. Depends on your relationship with the girl. If you kinda know her, work, school, etc...then just ask. If you have never even spoke. Then make conversation and nicely ask if she would like to do something sometime...she will then say no i have a b/f or yeah sure...and you assume she is single.

Say something like " I know your boyfriend sure loves your cooking ( for example).She may reply " who said I have a boyfriend?" Then you have got ur answer. Good Luck!

Well, in movies, he'd see a picture on her desk of her with some guy.
And he says, "You and your boyfriend look nice."
And if she says, "Oh, that's not my boyfriend. I don't have a boyfriend." Then you'll know if she's taken or not.
