I just got rear ended fifteen minutes ago. It did some damage to my bumper and I took the other driver's information down.
I feel frazzled. Is that normal?
And no, I am not going to sue anyone..I'm fine, just fearful.
Ask me why I feel this way?

It's normal. But aren't you even going to claim damages done to your bumper and have it repaired? You don't know now but you may have done damage to your back or neck. I would rethink this before you determine positively to not sue at all.

I was rear ended today also by a Loomis Fargo truck. I never realized just how much they weigh. It's 12 hours later and I can't sleep. My nice car just lost it's trade in value even as it's being repaired. How crappy!
I understand your feeling frazzled and it's tiring but why are you fearful.
Next time, call the police!!

If you have insurance, and he has insurance...don't worry about it. I've been in two accidents that have resulted in my vehicle being declared a total loss. Both times the other driver was at complete fault.
I felt "frazzled" to say the least. Luckily, both times did not involve my daughter in her carseat in the backseat of the car. Thank (whoever) for small favors.

Yes it is normal to feel frazzled after something like this. My friend works in insurance and says most everyone feels that way.
Hope you feel better soon.

When I had my accident last year (I was not at fault), I felt the same way. I had to sit and collect my thoughts before thinking to fish my insurance and other information out of my glove compartment.
You'll be okay, especially if you're not at fault.

It's shock- all very normal. You get full of adrenaline (the 'fight of flight' reflex) but then nothing happens and that's why you feel like that. Good luck getting money for the repairs!

It's completely normal. I was cut off and almost run off of a freeway overpass.. they guy didn't hit me but I still was scared out of my mind.. I followed him to a gas station and chewed him out.. but yeah. It's always scary to be it in your car. Especially after all the police crashes they show on TV.
