No. If there is any misery it is that we have to live in a world where 90% of our fellow humans suffer from a paralyzing delusion that we are unable to affect.

Okay, I have had just about enough of this asinine question and others like it being asked over and over again here. You don't know us, you don't know ANYTHING about us, (except we don't buy into with the god delusion) yet you assume our lives are miserable. How dare you assume anything of the kind? There is nothing miserable about my life. There has never BEEN anything miserable about my life. When you know me and every other atheist here personally, THEN you can ask that, or you can see for yourself. As that's never going to happen, why don't you keep your opinion about OUR PERSONAL LIVES (or how miserable they just must be without some invisible friend) to yourself?
Thanks!

My life was miserable whenJesus was with me. The day we broke up was the best yet. I am so happy that he has gone back to Spain. Or are we talking about a different Jesus here. Maybe you should be more specific. It's notlike there is and only has been one Jesus in the world.

Just to help your question out.
What's the whole point of salvation? Check this: God at the
beginning of time sets up laws, scientific laws, gravity,
etc. He also sets up a basic law of obedience: love God and
love your neighbor. Man broke these two laws (the core of
the Ten Commandments). All of us break these laws. God has
already said if you don't follow these laws you will be put
to death. But since He loves His creation, He doesn't want
to destroy them. He wants a way to save them. But how?
Sacrifice. Executing the consequence but on someone else.
But who could be worthy enough to be sacrified for billions
of people since the beginning of time? God. So He went to
earth, and died for the sins of man.
All He asks now is for you to accept that. That is
salvation. He doesn't want you to pull up a list of things
so you can be 'Christian'. He just wants you to accept that
He died for you and that your sins are forgiven when you ask
of it to be.
Now how about attitudes and following laws and
regulations and all this jazz. You have to see God as a
friend rather than a cop. Just for an example, if you
hang out with friends that smoke all the time, you are
influenced to do so yourself and might take up smoking.
In the same way, if you hang out with God and people that
believe in Him, you will be influenced to live that kind of
life. The change is progressive, and to some people
instant. But it all starts out with befriending God.

Quite the reverse.
What a stupid assumption.
I guess that you HOPE that this is the case, as it would vindicate YOUR lifestyle choice. You need to believe that you are happier than we are because you have some allegiance to a long dead 'Jewish Idol'.
In reality, it just won't wash.
Get real. Get a life. Wake up to reality. Your dream-world is just a fantasy but you love the concept so much that you have convinced yourself that it really is a fact ...
God is imaginary.

Your question assumes that atheists have inherently miserable lives compared to people who have "Jesus". What have you based this view on? Last Sunday's sermon in your local church?
Just because you find fulfilment or spiritual succour in your faith does not mean that others who do not share your faith are somehow unhappier than you.

I'm an agnostic not atheist but close enough. No, it wouldn't change me as a person if I had jesus in my life or not. I live a good, happy life.
