their little baby hearts?

They say if a baby dies, it doesn't have to worry about hell because it never sinned.

I'm just wondering at what point in childhood (according to Christians), I became an evil sinner that needed to accept Christ in order to be cleansed.

Is it a certain age? Don't all children mature at different rates? Is it being exposed to certain knowledge? Don't children lose their "innocence" at different times? Is it a certain deed? I must say, I've seen toddlers engage in what could be described as homosexual behavior.

When, exactly, do we all become so evil that we need saving, because frankly, I don't think it ever "happened" to me.

The loss of innocence is different for everybody. Babies go straight to heaven, not because of their not sinning, but because of their innocence of knowledge. God judges the heart. We are born sinfull, it is our human nature. It is called our flesh, in the Bible.

No where in the Bible does it mention about the Origional Sin idea that some denomintations have accepted as doctrine. The time fore realization in which we know what sin is, what we have done wrong, and that in order for God to forgive all our sins occurs at different ages, there is no one specifc age. YOung chidlren around the age of seven have been baptized and asked for forgiveness as well as teenagers and older people as well. We become tainted with sin the first time we intetionaly know that we have done something wrong. As a child you are taught by your patrents what is right and wrong. Once you go against what God's standards are, then you have sinned against him, even if you don't know it. The young children you mention, may not have sinned. We can be no judge at if they have or have not. The age is relative to the person. That is why accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior is when you realize what you have done wrong in the past and you want to fix it. You also make an serious attempt not to do such a thing again because sin is seperation from God spiritualy. A 2-3 year old most likely is not able to grasp onto that sort of thinking. It is when we are as little children in a sense of relying totaly on God for all our means (but we aslo prepare for accepting it), and adore him as a child does his father that we act as children and become like little babes.
God bless you
K.K.

I think that original sin is a Catholic thing...not a Christian thing.

Your question starts out reasonable then skews off into never never land when you talk about homosexual behavior in toddlers. You sound like a really mean and unhappy person.

"Look! With error I was brought forth with birth pains,
And in sin my mother conceived me. " -- Psalm 51:5

"That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." -- Romans 5:12

Adam and Eve could have been alive today, but they died because they chose to disobey God and thus sinned. The reason we die is that Adam’s sinful condition as well as death was passed on to all of his descendants. (Romans 5:12) That sin is like a terrible inherited disease from which no one can escape. Its consequence, death, is a curse. Death is an enemy, not a friend. (1 Corinthians 15:26)

I've always heard that people are born into sin, meaning they don't have to do anything and they are already sinners. Obviously this is ridiculous and a loving and forgiving God would not send babies to hell (mostly because there isn't one).

It depends on the childs development. If the child is contaminated with sin at a young age, then he learns of it, and later practises it. No age limit. Once they know right and wrong, then sin is there

there is a book series made somewhat about this topic. bascially when you read it they believe that anyone under the age of 13 are free of sin and when the appocalypse comes anyone under 13 will die and go to heaven without worry because of their age. I think if that was really true it would really suck to have your birthday on that day. I dont believe in any of that, i am catholic but i have my own oppinions about things and my church is pretty liberal in its views and incorporating other relions aspects.

Since most laws were written back then by Jews writers we would have to go by Jewish law and customs. According to Jewish customs a child is no longer a child when he/she is bar or bat mitzfad and that is at the age of 13. After that they are considered adults in the eyes of Jewish law.

It happens the moment you KNOW something is wrong and you CHOOSE to do it anyway. Trust me, it happened for you.

We are under original grace, not original sin. Babies who die go to Heaven. Yes, it happens at different ages for different children, but God knows when one is accountable and when one is not.

Now here's a blueberry bar and some nice warm milk.

It didn't. God doesn't punish all people for what one person did. For there to be "original sin" is nonsense, because that means that what one woman did gets placed on all. That never did make sense, and neither did a lot of the stuff in the bible. That's why I left Christianity, because I questioned everything and either got very stupid answers or no answers. There are even some who say that babies who were never baptized are burning in hell. Common sense says "WTF, are you that brainwashed???"
