I see a lot of Rugers out there. And I think they are around that $200 area.
Good luck and shoot straight.

In the local ads the only two .22 semi-autos that sell for $200 are the Beretta NEOS U22 and the S&W 22A. They're usually on sale for $199. Of those two I'd choose the NEOS, but some people don't like the "futuristic" look of it.
For around $250, you could get a blued Ruger MKIII standard with a 4-3/4" tapered barrel. A friend just bought one for his wife for $236 plus tax at Gander Mountain. Of the three I listed, I'd spend the extra and get the Ruger. It will give you many years of faithful service. It also comes with a plastic case, lock, and two 10 round magazines.

I don't know of any good .22 pistols (semi-auto or not) that sell for $200. For about $300. you can buy a Walthers P-22, which is a good pistol and plinker. For a hundred more you can add a fitted laser sight and for another $105 more, an optional 5" barrel.
Beretta makes a pocket pistol for about $300, but what are you going to do with a pocket pistol in .22? Its too small to plink with and too small a caliber for serious defensive purposes. Of course, ANY gun is better than NO gun but the Beretta 3032 Tomcat in .32 acp is a better defensive handgun for about the same price.
Good luck.

can't help you with the price, but these are some of the best
High Standard
Colt woodsman - I dont know if they still make these
Browning Buck
Ruger
these semi auto are 22 LR. for the regular consumer.
Then there are Olypic event pistols, these go for $1,300.00 and up.
For your price range, maybe Star or Astra in 22LR
I forgot Walther P22 these go for $300

Probably the little Beretta Bobcat .22 semi-autos for concealed carry. This depends on what you want a .22 semi-auto for. If you want a .22 semi-auto for target shooting, they are anywhere between $300-$800. Hope this helps.

First, it helps if you use Spell Check, and two, the Ruger Mark III! I just got mine and it is a great gun! I do have yet to shoot it but what I will say is that according to this question:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Auazgqg80OY2j731pRsdr0nty6IX?qid=20070305154452AAnsHLV
that the Ruger Mark III is just the perfect pistol for anyone. For more info follow my links!
