A flagpole is likely to be 6 meters (about 20 feet) tall. 600 meters would be about 2000 feet tall....

This is easy when you remember that a meter stick and a yard stick are almost the same size. So is a flag pole going to be 600 yards (times three feet makes 1800 feet) tall? That's nearly half a mile.

6 meters is just over 30 ft
Our local flagpole is about that
600 meters is about 600X3.3 ft or 1980 ft
If your flagpole is on a 1950 ft building it could be so
