I agree that Amy Brown does amazing faeries. However, since getting my own Amy Brown inspired tattoo, and then seeing other people's faeries that are more cartoonish, I have to say that I wish I had gone that route. For the most part, if it is going to be a single tattoo and you aren't interested in more art work, the cartoon-y ones just look cuter. However, if you do like the artsy look and want a more serious looking tattoo, go with Amy Brown.

I have two tatoos and I love them both, however once you get a tatoo it is w/ you for the rest of your life. It will fade as time goes on. If you chose, you can have a touch-up on it. It's possible that it may be somewhat painful or "not". Depending on location on the body and how close it is to the bone.

Amy brown draws amazing fairies. My tattoo (my display pic) is based on an amy brown tattoo ( only changed to make it original). You should research her art work.
