I've been weightlifting for about six weeks now. During the first few weeks of training, I was perpetually sore. Now, even though I work out until exhaustion on my last few reps of my last set, I don't get sore anymore. I have increased my protein intake substantially, but shouldn't I be getting a little sore? Do I need to lift more?

you need to change up your routine. your body is getting too used to your work out and is compensating easier for the efforts of lifting weights. change up your reps and do different exercises, this should bring you back.

You should feel a burn. Being sore means you went too far or did something wrong.

Now there is two directions muscles can take. One is weight lifting as in lots of bulky muscles and little stamina. The other is aerobic which is more toned down buy it increases your stamina. To gain larger muscles, increase the amount of weight. To gain stamina, just increase the number of reps.
