I am in a desperate situation. What happens is I just discovered that I am extremely lazy that affects to every aspects of my life. It literally eats me alive. I gotta do something about and did some research found out about ritalin. I got to the pharmacy and tried to get it. Unfortunately, they wouldn't sell unless i have a doctor's prescription. So i marched down to my family doctor. He was like i can't give you a prescription cuz it's......... I desperately need to take Ritalin. If you ever tried it how dangerous is it? Any side effects? And how can i obtain it without a doctor's prescription? Thanks a million in advance.

Ritalin is a stimulant-type drug prescribed for ADD and ADHD. In those patients, the drug produces a calming effect instead, though researchers are unsure why. In those who do not have an attention deficit problem, the drug acts like the stimulant that it is and [over]enhances the mind. This drug is commonly abused by college students. There are places that sell it illegally on the net, but you may not be getting what you think you are, and it is going to cost you a pretty penny to get it.The drug is FDA approved for the treatment of ADD and ADHD but that is the only reason it is prescribed. The drug acts just like any other stimulant, and when abused can be very dangerous. No doctor is going to prescribe it to you for "being lazy". If you need an energy boost I take a daily dose of Vitamin B6 for energy and Ghenko Biloba for mental clarity. However, there is no "magic" drug to cure lazyness, just self-determination...you seemed to put a lot of work into research about this drug, how about you focus that energy on doing what needs to get done in your life! Good luck.

You must first get a diagnosis of ADD to be able to get prescription of Ritalin. Testing for ADD can be done by a psychologist. However Ritalin is a dangerous and highly addictive drug if misused and can cause opposite effects in non-ADD patients. Buying Ritalin without a prescription is dangerous and highly illegal. So get tested for ADD by a psychologist first and then ask a psychiatrist if Ritalin will work for you. RITALIN IS ONLY SAFE WHEN USED AS PRESCRIBED!! Non-prescription use of Ritalin can be neurotoxic and highly addictive.

NOTE-Ritalin is not an amphetamine but it is in the phenylethylamine family. Amphetamines are only a subcatagory of phenylethylamines. The active ingredient in Ritilen is methylphenidate not methamphetamine. But they are both dangerouse without percriptions

Its Speed.Amphetamine. Yes it is dangerous and addictive. It could kill you it did my mother. She died from it being in a common headache powder years ago, and said it gave her the energy she need too. She took it and 20 yrs later her kidneys failed then she had a transplant, then she got pneumonia due to the low immune system. She is dead and cant watch her grandchildren grow up.all because she wanted more energy.
How long do you want to be around?

ritalin is what the call "speed" / "anphetamines"on the street, its perscibed to kids with add and stuff, chances are its not going to work for you and its highly addictive and dangerous without having the supervison of your doctor.

go speak to your doctor about your problem, or go see a phycologist to get to the bottom of whatever the problem is then they can start treating you correctly
