About three months ago I have had a severe dull ache in my upper right thigh that didn't go away. It eventually went away but had mild pain still. It is off and on. Then I had another episode of a dull ache and now it hurts all the time on the inner side of my right leg near the knee. And I can't put much pressure on top of my thigh (like resting my saxophone on my leg.) and still aches. I just recently went to a physical therapist and she did light therapy and gave me a few exercises to do with two more sessions next week. But each time I exercise it hurts. The only medicine working so far is taking 5 or 6 200mg of Advil. The therapist is not sure of what is wrong but she says my muscles somehow got out of wack. Can someone help me - I don't think this is the case.

It sounds like this needs to be evaluated further...possible femoral nerve compression, if you are a male prostate/urethral issues...etc. If it's going on for this long, it's time for further tests...

Sounds to me like therapy is doing more harm than good. You may have an inflammation and therapy is only aggravating it.
