Prayer has been proven to be worthless. Why waste your time?

We are told that we (Christians) can ask for anything and God will hear us.

In Ephesians 6:18, Paul writes, And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

I'm not sure if the Bible has anything to say about praying for animals but my hubby and i prayed over our puppy when he had to have surgery... God knows what is in our hearts, he knows what is important to us.. he doesn't want us to hurt! So go for it.. God wants us to pray!
