Where can I get a disk that when booted will allow me to format the hard drive regardless of whats on it?

basicly I would like to know where I can download the ISO or other disk fimage type of a program that can boot on startup and allows me to format the hard drive

Usually any install disk will let you do this. Though it will probably try and install the OS afterwards, you could just pop out the disc after its done reformating it.

if you use XP OS, try to format your disk, it will give you an option to format it with system floppy disk, you can use that when you try to boot-up your Pc and format you Pc...
