I have tried everything from Allegra to Claritin to Zyrtec. I've been on the shots for years. Nothing works :( I've heard about several non-Western treatments like acupuncture but have never tried it. Also, I have the rings around my eyes from allergies as well. Dermatologist said he can't prescribe anything. Does anyone know a way to get rid of that as well? Thanks for your help in advance. God bless.

Not sure what kind of allergies you have, but I have had terrible seasonal allergies in fall and early summer since I moved 4 years ago. They got so bad last summer that I couldn't even speak. I too tried several different meds, I never thought I was going to find one that worked and didn't have awful side effects, but I finally did. I finally had great success with combined treatment of zyrtec and a nasacort nasal spray. The nasacort has a cortisol steroid that is supposed to reduce inflammation and make it easier to breathe. (I've also had an oral corticosteroid prescribed in combo with the allergy meds) Have you tried any sort of spray? I know they make spray forms of allergy meds such as nasanex(sp?), you might check into that. Sorry this has been such an ordeal for you, it's rough on me for the short period that I get it every year, don't give up...keep experimenting with the drugs that work for your allergies, every person is different. Good luck! Bless you ;)

I feel your pain, severe allergies here, have tried everything, had surgeries to reduce my turbinates. The only two things I can think of is Neil Med, available at most Pharmacies over the counter, and try honey, it has to be harvested in the area you live in, it is supposed to build up your immunities to the area pollens.. Good luck, nothing has helped my dark circles..

try wearing a filter/cotton mask for the allergies, and drinking a ton of water for the rings, but I actually find them really sexy, so I keep mine for looks.
