Really not a common name. I did find a handful of immigrant records for that spelling if that helps.

(3) arrived in Baltimore in 1894 on a ship that left Bremen Germany. They listed their hometown as "Hockersdorf Schl"...but Hockersdorf is in Hesse, not Schleswig, so I'm not sure of the veracity of the town

(1) arrived in Baltimore from Germany in 1873

(1) arrived in NY from Leghorn Italy in 1846

(2) arrived in NY from Germany in 1870

So unless you're related to the one Partusch from Italy (which with a name like Antonio I'm not going to suggest he wasn't from Italy) then you're a German and researching your family history is probably pretty easy.

The social security death index shows 43 persons of that name, who have died since about 1960. Then, rootsweb.com's family files show 50+ entries... a couple show Germany as the birth place, one says Austria. Now, for you to find if or how you connect to any of these, I gotta snag you into doing some preliminary research. For that, I'll send you to www.cyndislist.com
and tease you into one of the how-to tutorials.
and of course, it is popular to you... it is YOUR heritage.

I have never heard that name before. I'm no expert, but it sounds Russian or Polish. Hope you get the information you are looking for.
