More than 3000 U.S. soldiers have died in the past 4 years in Iraq. THe majority of these men and woman being under 20..
They are just kids and they are bleeding for you and me. They don't complain..they signed up to keep freedom free for you and me. Do you know how many out of the millions of americans make a sacrifice and join the army? Less than 1%. These people and their families are the ones sacrificing for our(US) country. Do they not deserve a thanks? When they return they see signs of pull the troops out of iraq. The war is for nothing.
Their brothers have bleed in iraq..and i'm sure it doesnt feel good when the majority of the population does not believe its for a reason. Thanks for the answers

Because people think they know whats going on when they are sitting on their asses watching CNN. All they see is a clip of something bad and they go and label the military as something evil. They only see 10 seconds of footage while the troops are there for a year or more.

Many people have a warped sense of what is right and wrong. You take somebody the is protesting the war effort like you describe, calling our soldiers killers, fools etc and yet these same people don't say a word about the over 800 thousand Iraqi's that Saddam just outright murdered not to mention all of the Muslims that have been murdered by other Islamic leaders. They don't comment on factories in India forcing slave labor to make clothes that these folks buy everyday cause their "cheap". They don't refuse to purchase goods made in China by convict and slave labor that is literally killing the middle class here in the US.

When I came back for SE Asia in 71 I was actually spit on by a group of folks that were the same age as I was. This is something that I have carried with me my entire life. The people that fight in these campaigns are soldiers, doing their duty to serve the country that shelters their families. They are not politicians, war mongers, shi*s making a fortune killing the poor defenseless enemy yet these protesters are lending aid to the enemy and shi*ing on our troops by making a media circus out of there righteous anger. If they wanted they could send letters to their congressman and president and accomplish much more than they're public tirades but I don't believe they care about "the war"; they just want to cause misery for as many people as possible. These are very small people and I am ashamed that my fellow Americans act like this.

This is something i feel very strongly about. All those men and women are heroes and there family's are hero's also. I support the solders and there loved ones but I don't think its a war we should be fighting. I have close friends who's husbands are over there and I know the fear they have of 3 men coming to the door and telling them the love of there life is gone. That's a feeling I wish every political leader could feel. I think if they understood the cost of life that things would be different.

Now all that being said, I agree with you people don't respect our solders. My father is a Marine vet and I know the long term damage war does to a person. I so much respect for these people.

I totally agree with you. It is so stupid how people put out signs to pull out the troops when we are already in the thick of it. The last thing a returning troop needs to see is someone with a big fat sign in their face saying that what they did doesn't make a difference. The only thing we can do is to support our troops to the best of our abilities. They need our support, and may god be damned if I won't give it to them.

It's because they have no concept of what we have accomplished. The media only shows the bad side of things. We have built roads, dug wells supplying villages with clean water that they have never had, laid thousands of miles of communication lines, rebuilt schools, provided food and medical attention for thousands of people. The soldiers should be proud of themselves. America should be proud of our soldiers for what they have accomplished. I am a proud veteran and proud Army wife.

GOD BLESS THE TROOPS, well I do not, and I will never. And I will love them and pray for them. and those people who hate them, have no hearts, and 90 percent of them are liberals, that explains alot.

I dont believe they are treated with disrespect, they are doing there job.. most people understand that they are not the ones that pick to go there. it is the higher power...and they are welcomed home with happy arms each and everyone of them.. you know I feel that they may not all agree with what is going on but they all know that SOONER THEN NEVER they are coming home and they are our Heros...I want to add that if you are right at the 1% of America joining the Military then that leaves 99% that are here standing behind them waiting on them to come home safe...
