Saw a show on the history channel about this very topic. There is now a monastery on the site of what is "BELIEVED" to be the burning bush, and there is a bush there that they have proven is very, very old. Can't say for certain if it is THE bush, but it's there....
(it's a big bush, more like a stumpy tree, they showed it on the show)
Have a cinnamon cookie, great question!

I think cannabis grows there (and grew there). But God doesn't need to get a man high in order for him to hear His voice. It was God's voice that Moses heard from the burning bush, he didn't see God there. And it was in a valley on the other side of Mt. Sinai from where Moses was on top of for 40 days when God gave him the commandments for Israel.
Just because you might not be a believer, why do you feel the need to mock the Lord? He has struck many down for less.

None that you have mentioned. I get your drift, your doubt is apparent. God chose to use what looked like a burning bush when He chose to have that meeting with Moses. God chose something that Moses had seen before, since for what ever reason, bushes can catch fire and burn. The problem was, it wasn't being consumed by what appeared to him to be fire.

Moses was an incompetent leader he probably needed a good story to boost his status.

I wonder what Moses was smoking when God parted the red sea and drowned the entire Egyptian army after the Israelites passed through on dry land?
I guess it wasn't a hallucination after all?

Hello. In my opinion you could not tell what kind because it was diviod of leaves and life. The bush's purpose in my opinion might have represented the end of a life without death.

Cannabis and marijuana are the same thing, and were native to that area, all of the middle east really.

See now...none of those plants grow in a "bush form" so sorry about your "Moses was high as a kite" theory.
