Does anyone know how to get a kitten to clean its anus properly? I.E. make sure it cleans off all of the feces? Its a weird question but relevant to everyone I guess.

You didn't say how old the kitten is. Sometimes if they're very young, they have a hard time reaching. It's important to keep kittens cleaned on both ends. What I do is take an old wash cloth and wring it out in barely warm water. Keep some water in the basin. Hold the kitten over the basin and gently pat the offending area. Don't wipe because you don't want to get the kitten sore. Repeat as often as necessary to get the job done. If it still doesn't come off or is caked in the fur, you can hold the kitten's rear in the warm water and gently pick it off. You can use an old towel to dry the kitten or you can use a hair dryer on cool/low. (I'd be wary of using anything containing chemicals.)

KItty isn't going to like this, but you can whisper, "this is going to hurt me more than you, and it's for your own good."

If kitty goes ballistic, hold her gently and clip her little claws first (just not back too far).

Give a little treat when done.
Keeping the kitten clean will help her get the hint and will probably take care of it herself when she gets a little older.

I wipe my kitties' anus with moistened toilet paper or baby wipes, since I am the one who insists that they are scrupulously cleaned when they mount my bed. I'm afraid there's no way around it. Some cats will lick fastidously, some don't. Mine don't, so... I wipe their butts for them before they wipe their butts on my carpet.

Most kitty's do this on their own, but when he or she needs a little help, I've used baby wipes.

I would use those water free wash wipes available for cats and dogs. Just be gentile. That is what we do for our cat.
