The popular image in non-Muslim countries is that Muslims do nothing at all for fun. Is this true? There must be some enjoyable pasttimes that Muslim people do--what are they? This is a serious question.

well we have many things to do we can go out to any where taking any drink if its not alcoholic or eat any thing except the ham or going to cinema theater concerts we can make a privets part for ladies and get dance we can do any thing only we have to pray on time that's all we can have a very great times i cant see anything we cant do if its OK with our religion and in respectful way

I don't know why some think we are another species or something, but we basically do what anyone else does. Go to a movie theater and see a good movie. Here in Milwaukee, go to the Zoo, Petit National Ice Center, the museum. Go out for a romantic dinner or celebrate events at restaurants. Take our children to McDonald's for the toy not the food. Have dinner parties. Go shopping, yes yes, go shopping! Spend money. Go to Summer Fest or the State Fair. I live right in front of a slightly famous church/school, so when they have that awesome carnival I just walk right across the street and go on the rides like Freak Out or the Zipper. In the house, I watch a sitcom, watch a movie, crochet, do other crafts. Take my children to the park.

we r jus like u! we watch tv, read magazines n books, go out 4 dinners, or a drive or a stroll on the beach, have bbq's n picnics, guys play sports,gals go 4 shoppin (LOADS of it),have gatherings at home, surf the internet or phone up frnds, relax n talk wid our family or play wid kids. we r human jus like u!

well i'd like to read in a garden with 100-year-old trees and birds and a lake and sky... TV and internet is also fun to me. i'd also like to meet up with my friends - go shopping, have a huge extended lunch and watch DVDs. go for a swim or jog on weekends, and drive around is absolute fun to me.

Fun? plenty. lots like to go on trips, sports, carnival, hobbies pretty much normal stuff. we just cant do anything that violates the religon like drinking.

From my actual observations -
The children like shoot-em up video games
The adults like to drive out into the desert where they can't be seen by the authorities and drink alcohol.
Then there are the majority, who have the same kind of fun that non-muslims do.
Saudi youth travel to the UAE to go to the cinema and talk to girls.
Muslims go abroad to western countries to be hypocrites, women dispensing with their veils and wearing western clothes, men frequenting girlie bars, etc, etc.
Nothing unusual.
