I know it sounds irrontic that they are testing this on cats & dogs. Seems inhumane to me. I am afraid that I may have
bought some of thier food that I don't normally buy only because I was not near a store that sells the food that
my cats eat. Shortly thereafter within a couple days
my female cat became ill. She was having trouble with
urinary. She was taken to a vet, and she is finally okay
but I seriously think it was the food, Wonder if I could
recover the vet bills?

I absolutely agree. We have an office cat that was eating special kitty and got very sick. He was showing signs of renal failure as well. When he stopped eating the food he got better so we switched the food. This went on for about 3 weeks and the cat did not eat. Then this news broadcast came out and that is what it was. I was thankful that he didnt die and he is doing alot better now. My dogs only eat purina and puppy chow so they were not affected. I can't believe that anyone would harm an animal. If you dont like them then dont go around them. Anyway have a great day!!!

I do not buy pet foods that are tested on animals. There is a boycott against Iams for the cruel and useless experiments they do (they do horrible things to animals while they are still alive).

I use Natural Balance, which isn't tested on animals. Also, the Paul Newman pet foods are not tested on animals. There are others, but I can't find them in Canada. Check out the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) website for a list of pet foods and other products that are animal-friendly.

Iams also tests on live cats and dogs. My cats were doing so well on Iams and looking and acting healthier than they ever have but I cannot in good conscience buy Iams anymore. Most likely they get them from shelters or other places that find stray animals.

they make cat and dog food, what are they suppose to test it on. They are tying to find out what is wrong, so that they can correct the problem. I do love my animals, but come on people. I am sure nobody is happy about this situation, but they have to find away to correct it.
