What is a really good candle?

I have those candle warmers & love 'em. I'm looking for suggestions of Brands and/or scents for good candles. I'm also looking for a scent to have in my office/studio that will inspire me while I work.

My second favorite scent is apples.

Hello there! I purchase candles from the website below and have been more than pleased. They are 100% natural soy wax so they last up to 50% longer than regular candles and the scents are much stronger. They try to accomodate any request as well which is wonderful!!

The best burning candles are handmade candles. People who make them by hand pay special attention to scent throw, and melt pool. Hand made candles are generally stronger than factory made candles. And, what could be more inspiring that watching a candle burn so beautifully, and know that it was made by hand?

There is yankee of course but there are other companies. Some that I know about first hand are Bridgewater, Colonial, and Illuminations....all very high quality. For inspiration and energy, go for something like citrus, or a crisp grassy or floral, or a mint scent. Peppermint is good for headaches...so if you have eye fatigue, or other work related stress headaches...it would be good for that. I would stay away from musks, pathoulis, powdery, and lavendery kinds of smells. All the soft earthy ones make you sleeeeeeeeeepy. Another way I would choose...if it is "sweet" avoid it. If it is "bright" try it.

I LOVE DREAM CANDLES...they have a very strong long lasting scent.
