Sounds like ingrown hairs from clothing rubbing on hair follicles & breaking them off under the skin surface. They will disappear as the hair grows out.

I used to have red bumps on my chest. I tried everything, and nothing worked until I used Dial Antibacterial Soap (the gold bar). After a week or so, the red bumps went away. Now, I use Dial every time I take a bath. Also, make sure that you are using a washcloth. Not using a washcloth is a bad habit to get into. You have to scrub or else you'll leave a thin layer of grime.

it could be exema (spelling?) does it itch? are there similar bumps on your body?
you can get acne any where since pores are all over your body. use baby shampoo for washing your face and your body for a while. It's gentle, but really cleans your skin.
