If you have hives and you take either benedryl or zyrtec frequently, will there be any side effects?

Both of the drug are fairly safe but have the side effects of their own. Have you tried to discover the cause of the hives? Maybe you could work on prevention , rather than treatment.

You shouldn't have any side effects from these meds but you should find out what is causing the hives.

No. I take Benedryl almost every evening for nasal allergies. Mention it to your doctor so that he will know that you use them often.

well they can make you sleepy . try another antihistamine a non drowsy one ask the pharmacist what one to try . also the same drugs are in the no name packs and are cheaper ask for help there too save money.

I only get them when i eat raw seafood but i dont take any medication.
