I can understand it. I can also respect it.
Can you understand this:
My beliefs were not forced upon me, I freely chose and affirmed them when I was able to make that decision for myself.
I do devote time and energy in my beliefs for my personal self and to try to what the tenets of my faith prescribes. Be God's love in the word to help and love others without and strings or motives.
I do NOT spend time each day believing in mermaids, flying pigs, talking unicorns or trying to convince people that my beliefs or ways of life are right for them.
Nothing could possibly feel more pure and natural to me.
Can you understand and respect this?
If you can and I can then we will get along fine.

Your life is your own so why do you have to expound on it. No one is born Christian or atheist or anything they are just born. It's what you come to believe when you ready to believe it. If it is atheism then great that’s what you choose and if people are telling you that you are wrong then that’s their problem not yours or mine but they are allowed their freedom of speech as you and I are. Don’t let it get to you, life is short enough without trying to figure out why people are the way they are it just is. By the way I am a Christian but one that believes that each has his own destiny with his own choices to make.

Definitly man. I'm not an Atheist, but I also had a weird self-found spirituality from a young age, and I stay with that instead of the religions people have tried to impose on me, so I can relate.

I especially liked this part:
>> I do not devote energy to atheism, just as I don't spend time each day NOT believing in mermaids, flying pigs and talking unicorns. It's simply my natural, unadulterated state.
Well put.

Yes, I can. We are all born separated from God. Just like you explained.
Some of us want to be reconciled with Him by accepting His only begotten Son Jesus, into our lives as our Lord and Savior.
We have two choices in this life, to accept Him or not. He gives us this choice. There are many wonderful benefits of choosing Jesus. Peace

in all this universe(11 billion years old) the tiny spot we occupy on/in it there is no evidence that god exists(he may,but not so far,,,,,,,there still remains much to learn about this universe),,,,,,,,there maybe other universes,,,,,,,,we do not know about them,,,,,,,,,,,an atheist who says there is no god(so far)...cannot be thus unless he has been able to describe every corner of creation, and to describe the nothingness(????)that existed before creation,,,,,,,, is the atheist who claims to know there is no god actually an agnostic(maybe ,maybe not) Is an atheist who believes as above making a god decision?

well u look normal as any normal human being is:) we ( believers there is a GOd) understand and not understand, we are born believing there is a God... what pisses us believers is when those who do not believe, are so insistent that there is none, so the cycle wil continue both in not believing in God and our proving there is.

Well said!
They still won't understand you. Its not that they are incapable of understanding you, but they refuse to try. Actually thinking about what you say, understanding where you are coming from, would be a threat to their faith.
They can't abide that.

Atheism = does not believe in God.
I think that's quite simpler than your explanation.
