Eat 6 small but balanced meals to keep up your metabolism. Make sure that the carbohydrates are high in fiber and that the protein is lean. This will keep you in a caloric deficit and the frequent meals will prevent you from getting hungry.
Also, your exercise program should include weightlifting because the increased lean mass will burn extra calories on a 24 hour/day basis. Cardio also helps.

The key to losing weight is burn more calories than you take in. Foods low in fat are good. Lots of fruits and veggies. Salad is great for a diet. Protein is necessary for helping you lose weight. As for dancing, that depends on what kind of dancing. The thing about exercise is to get your heart rate up to an aerobic level for at least 20 minutes at least 3 times a week. The more you work out, the more calories you will burn and the faster you'll lose weight. You can get calorie charts on the internet and that will help you figure out how much you're taking in on a daily basis. The most important thing is to stick with it until you reach your goal. It's tough, but it's so worth it!
