A few weeks ago, for the first time in my life, I went to a faith healer, and got slammed by The Holy Spirit. The entire experience was awsome~~~beyond words. My whole body trembled from head to toe, and I couldn't stop laughing, or smiling, or both.

Last week I went back, (for a different problem,) and the assistant Pastor touched me, and again I felt The Holy Spirit. (Not as strong as what the senior Pastor had given me,) but I still felt it.

Now, this is hard to explain, so please be patient with me. My question is this: Both times when I was touched with The Holy Spirit, I felt a sensation surging through my veins especially the two main veins in my neck. Like they were bulging, and it lasted for hours and hours, and I was higher than a kite, and my eyes were brighter than bright. Is this normal?

How did you react when *you* were slammed by The Holy Spirit? What were *your* symptoms?

It's kinda scary, but I also want more. Do you?

I went for deliverance from nicotine and alcohol. I was SO scared, that my girlfriend came up there with me. The ushers were very kind to me, and led me by the hand when it was my turn. I was tongue-tied. I just looked at the Reverand with big eyes, and nothing came out of my mouth. I was smart though, and had previously written a note with my requests on it, so I handed it to him. What happened next was a blur. He liked my note----aLOT. He asked me some questions, (what they were, I can't remember,) and the next thing I saw was his hand coming towards my forehead, and IN his hand was a warm yellow like spinning ball of like pliable wax. My hands went up, and I was down for the count for several minutes.

Where I was....................I was "in" yellow. Like chaffon, with carmel color dripped in. I was looking up at tree trunks, and leaves were falling, like autumn. Unfortunetly, I had to wake up. When I did, the reverand just slammed me back down again. It was great!

Normal, you got a powerful healing, you must have needed it. It can become addictive, the thrill is feeling it racing thru you and that it lasts, and isn't harmful or illegal.
The first priest was probably very gifted and intuned.
I am actually thinking of going to a healing mass today.

you're precise! there have been different cases I even have used those precise verses you gave while answering questions approximately us receiving the Holy Spirit while we've faith, and how this additionally gurantees our salvation, meaning we don't lose our salvation as quickly as we are sealed with the Spirit of God. i don't understand why some christians refuse to be sure those scriptures-- in step with hazard they're examining them distinctive or something, yet those verses talk for themselves! they're especially uncomplicated to comprehend. And the Bible additionally says regarding baptism of the Spirit: Acts a million:5 For John baptized with water, yet in some days you would be baptized with the Holy Spirit." (this is while the Holy Spirit became to come lower back) And the Holy Spirit is right here! Amen! And we are baptized in water while we've faith, while we are saved in obedience to God- as an outward expression of our faith in Him.

Oh that -- how about this. You haven't felt the Holy Spirit until you feel his leading to help you escape sin; until you feel his comfort during the pain of suffering for the cross and righteousness; until you find the wisdom and grace within you to bear the fruit of the Spirit while you flesh is struggling to save your pride. If what you experienced is real, value it; but realize a brief taste that gives you a thrill is nothing like joy in trials and entering the kingdom of God through many hardships. Do you want to really know the presence of God? Beware of sensationalists and embrace the Cross. Read Philippians 3:10-11.

Holy Spirit is being describe in the Bible as the Comforter...one who will leads us to the TRUTH...spiritual TRUTH at that. I suspect what you felt in those occassions were merely your feelings. The Holy Spirit doen't work that way, MilkWeed. When you read the Bible and you start seeing the TRUTH as you read...you starts realizing what's going on with your faith...then, that's the SPIRIT at work.

My first reaction? I was sorry for myself I could not believed I was deceived for so long????

My first move? I packed my "things" and left that faith! Now, I am shouting to the world their deceits. That's how the Spirit moves, MilkWeed. No trembling...no flying higher than a kite...no sensation surging through your two main neck's veins...(hey, better get your blood pressure reading...)

God bless you, MilkWeed...

Do you know that God made man with free-will?

If God wanted to possess man, He would have done that aeons ago.

What you experienced is a possession. And its NOT by the Holy Spirit.

You should be able to control yourself if you have the Holy Spirit, and you don't lose it thereafter (meaning you don't need the pastor to do anything) after you have received the Holy Spirit. Because a man's relationship with God is direct and personal. And God promised that He will be with His people forever.

I am forced to conclude that you spend very very little time on the bible and are totally ignorant of how God works.

Be careful.

But I can tell you this. Whatever you have received can be cast out and I can do it. The last time such pastors came to me and prayed together with me, they ran off crying in fear. And I'm NOT joking here.

I felt like I couldn't move and didn't want to move. I felt the Holy Spirit on me like a heaviness but a great Holy heaviness and I felt refreshed afterward's. It was not scary for me because of the way I felt afterwards. Afterwards I was hopeful, refreshed, renewed, and joyful.

I have never been lifted off the ground. I'm not sure what you mean by brighter then bright that is a new one too me. Usually people say "slain in the spirit." i've never heard of the term slammed by the holy spirit. But I felt like sometimes that I was Drunk in the holy spirit sometimes like in the book of Acts. It would be a good book in the bible for you too read.

One you don't get "slammed" with the Holy Spirit. Let me ask you this: When the assistant pastor touched you, where did he touch you and in what direction did you fall? After you answer this question I will do an edit and explain what I know about the Holy Spirit.

Give the passage(s) on how one will react upon being filled with the Holy Spirit. Where in the Bible does it say one will have uncontrollable shaking, laughing, barking like a dog, or falling backwards, etc.

Edit: Why the thumbs down on this? You don't even know what I will say back to the one in who is asking the question.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not taking or trying to take your joy from your experience. But, we are to test those that claim to be able to fill one with the Holy Spirit.

Look at Benny Hinn, he throws the "Holy Spirit" around a room like a ball is tossed from the pitcher in the ballgame. You don't toss the "Holy Spirit" around like that.

What ever happened to the revivals in Brownsville and Toranto, Ontario? You don't hear nothing about them nowadays. Why? Because it was NOT of God! You don't bark like a dog, laugh uncontrollably, nor do you fall backwards. If you truly are filled with the Holy Spirit, you would have fallen foward on your face. We bow down to God, not fall backwards.

Test the spirits of those that are claiming they can "slain another in the Spirit". No where in the scriptures does it say the disciples nor Jesus "slained others in the Spirit".

Upon receiving Christ, we are immediately filled with the Holy Spirit.

Beware of false teachers out in the world today. Remember, Satan will imitate God!!!!

I have read and seen videos of this stuff and I personally think it is very dangerous. Your experience seems very similar to incidences that occurred during the the "Toronto Blessing" movement that began in 1994. I know many churches practice this type of thing today and honestly I don't think it is a good thing.

There have been quite a few testimonies of people who have had spiritual problems after this occurrence and had to seek counseling.

Please read Hank Hanegraff's "Counterfeit Revival".

It can be. If you had this happen to you, simply by a pastor placing his hand on you, and what you say was the result, it is no sham, it was very real. While my experiences have not been as dramatic, I know when I have had that touch from God. He does deal with all in various ways. Seek God, and ask Him to help you walk in your life in the ways He wants you to go.
