Check out this months Seventeen magazine, there is a story about a girl getting a tattoo from an unlicensed artist and she almost lost her life. Same goes for this, any licensed, respectable parlor checks id, or at least needs parental consent.

Ps- It is likely that your tongue will get infected or at least swell up, and it's impossible to hide that from anyone, especially parents.

All reputable and safe shops will check ID. They could get in a lot of trouble for breaking the law and so could you. Furthermore, if you do find a shop that doesn't ID anyone, I would be very, very scared. Chances are they don't follow most other rules and regulations so you put yourself at a huge risk for serious injuries and even diseases.

Please, please, please do not get the piercing. Wait until you are older or get your parents permission.

how about you do yourself a favor, go to a gas station, ask for the key to the bathroom, go in, slit your tounge and rub it all over the toilet and save yourself a few bucks, OK? If a piercer does not check ID, then they are not a piercer worth going to, and even if you end up finding one and getting it in without you dying from bleeding because they hit a vein it will get infected and I seriously doubt it will last, so, please, either get your parent's permission, or wait until you are 18, find a reputable tattoo parlor, and get it done right.

The other 2 are right...if they dont check id's then I wouldnt trust them. You can paralyze your tongue if peirced wrong, and unfortunately it can be not only permanent but deadly....But, if you insist on throwing caution to the wind then I would suggest, not using anyones advise on here, but check with other people your age, in your school perhaps, and see where they went.

all places that are respectable and safe check ids. if you want to take a chance of getting an infection in your mouth or bleeding to death cause they did it wrong then you can always find someone willing to take your money that is crooked. i live in fulton and i would suggest waiting till you are 18 or getting one of your parents to take you to a good place. i have mine done and my daughter will when she turns 17 if she keeps her grades up.
