Should I find a new doctor? There were people in the office 'observing' when she had her first shots..I think that is what led to her forgetting. Should I trust this person? I am so upset. I was given paperwork saying I should have received it. There was no discussion on why I didn't she just overlooked it and then never mentioned it. I realize the vaccine is new. But shouldn't it have been discussed?

Roto vaccine isn't something that your child HAS to have. If your child is high risk for it (premature, already very sick or under weight) then maybe you should ask for them to give your baby the vaccine. If your Ped refuses to give the shot ask him or her why and listen to their reasoning behind it. It may be that they don't feel your baby needs it or there may be a shortage of the vaccine. MD's like other people hate to admit when they mess up because just like everyone else it makes them feel like they are not up to your expectations. Mention it in a casual way like "Bobby didn't get his Roto vaccine last time---will he get it this visit?" If they say no then explain to them that it worries you that your child isn't protected against it. They will try their best to resolve this. If they refuse to answer or brush you off then you should look for another MD.
In the meantime just make sure that everything your baby gets in his or her hands is clean and don't let people put their hands in his or her mouth or face. Don't share teething toys or chew books and limit their exposure to other sick children. It's ok to worry about these things, it's all part of being a mom.
Good Luck.

Quote from a information article: "the government warned docs and oldsters Tuesday of thoughts of probably existence-threatening twisting of the intestines in toddlers vaccinated against a virulent disease it fairly is the main appropriate reason for early toddlers diarrhea. The situation, observed as intussusception, is the comparable that extra approximately the withdrawal of the 1st rotavirus vaccine 8 years in the past." permit's see, rotavirus or twisted intestines? Hrmmmm. instead of pushing this vaccine on parents, why not instruct them that they might desire to bathe their palms with cleansing soap after each diaper exchange? My daughter have been given this trojan horse two times from different human beings while they weren't ill. that is disgusting the way this virus is transferred, yet hell, slightly infant probiotic (the 2nd time, i did not comprehend what i replaced into coping with the 1st time, so it replaced into purely nurse, nurse, nurse, nurse till she have been given extra effective) and he or she replaced into suitable as rain day after on the instant.

This is a new vaccine and it is still controversial. The AAP has again withdrawn it because of concerns that it may cause intussusception. May be that is the reason that it was not given. You should ask the pediatrician to be sure.

I like the answer that Brandi gave you. It was full of sense. But maybe you need to speak directly to the doctor and ask her yourself.
