First of all it isn't too likley to happen like in the movies. Second the odds of multiple attackers isn't going to occur unless you are the type to go looking for trouble. As a former martial artist I was taught that it is best to avoid those situations where something like that can happen. Now lets look at the other side of the coin and if the martial artist is one who trained so he/she could find trouble and then "prove" their worth, then if multiple attackers were to try and hurt them then the likelyhood of of the person trying to be Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee is likely to be injured. It is prudent to remember the teachings of the spiritual aspect of the martial arts and not just the physical. It takes a fool to attempt to handle odd that are against him and a prudent man to walk away from the situations that can occur.

YOu have to be a real fast moving martial artist to handle mutiples of people. Lots of spins, jumps and roundhouse kicks and flips.

Quite frankly, running is a good idea, but if it is a situation you can't run from, attack the enemy closest to you, but not for too long, just a quick and powerful combative, and, if you can't escape then, wash, rinse and repeat.
