At bartending school, there was this girl who came into class tonight, and she has the most nastiest breath ever...I mean nasty. If she opened her mouth to talk to you, you don't have to stand too close to smell anything, it was just there (eww!).

So my point is, I feel that part of bartending is to have GOOD HYGIENE while being behind the bar serving the customers. As far as this girl is concerned, she doesn't belong in bartender school - if in a real bar she'd gross out the customers.

Am I right or wrong people???

Yes, I knew a bartender w/ rancid breath. It was unbelievable. Smelled metallic. You are correct...don't gross out the customers.

Well, her breath may take care of any chances she has.
If you do not cover interpersonal skills and personal hygiene in yr course then I feel the school is lacking in it's course.

And, there is nothing wrong with taking the instructor aside and explain about the breath. They may already know and hv spoken to her.

Well forgive her if she slipped and had garlic that night before...it is bar tending SCHOOL so it isnt a big deal. But yea i guess it is nice to have the tipical "hot guy, sexy girl" behind the bar bad breath would ruin that affect.

You are 100% right. You should point this out 2 her. Nobody walks around knowing they have bad breath.

You're right... halitosis is no joke... Smelling bad breath on top of being drunk at a bar would definitely make me hurl!

I agree with you, but it sounds like that young lady either had rotting teeth or issues with her digestive tract. Good hygiene is a good practice to any profession.!!!!!
