In Sanskrit (India!), there is an ancient piece of wisdom that says, 'if you throw ash up towards the sky above, and then look up, the ash is bound to fall in your own eyes and blind you and hurt your eyes!' (don't throw ash up (don't scatter thorns!), or, if you must, then wear protective glasses when you look up (protect your feet after the thorn-scattering act!)! )
