I would really love to know what I am up against. I havent been to see the Surgeon yet, and I wont see him until the 17th of April, so this is driving me crazy. I have a 9mm mass in my Sphenoid Sinus on the Rt. side, and what is being called Patchy non-specific Ethmoid Sinus Mucosal Disease, and a severly infected Left Mastoid (Air Cell Disease), with a partial calcification of the left Mastoid. I am 44years old and at 38 had tubes put in my ears because of several repeated ear infections in my left ear. The tubes came out after 3 years, and the ENT I was seeing at the time wanted to putT-Tubes in my ears for a length of possibly 5 to 10 years, but I Iost my insurance before he could. Can I become deaf permanantly from the Mastoid problem? Is it too late to fix it? Please, if anyone has had this done or knows any info, I would be very grateful, this was unexpected news. I just went for a CT Scan because I have had some short term memory issues latley, the brain was fine!!
