Windows Media Player Help?

My WMP automatically play/buffer when downloading media files. But I just want to download the file not to play. How to fix this?

download the files directly to their folders eg music files to my music and videos to my videos, not to the player, then you can scan them with your anti virus before they are opened

DON'T DOWNLOAD IT TO YOUR MEDIA PLAYER CHOOSE A DIFFRENT PATH(FILE) FOR IT TO GO IN TO
