So here's the deal..my husband and I have been married for a little over a year, we never went on a honeymoon as our work has taken control over everything. We would have a week tops in the beginning of June so traveling too far would stink with time differences and all (I'm out by San Fran). We need to relax but take in some culture too...any ideas

Riviera Maya, Mexico (check out one of the Iberostar resorts). It's all inclusive (air, hotel, all food, drinks, tips, everything). There are many things to do as well (Xel-Ha, swimming wtih dolphins, visiting the ruins, etc.)

I am in San Antonio, Texas and I presume you too can look at the Sunday paper which has a Travel section. There you can check out the exotic spots from Mexico to Corpus Christi beach to the cruises.

One good tip too. Buy a Seaworld annual pass. Here it is like $57 each or $48 for a two day pass. I found that the 2 day pass is usually for tourists. But with the annual pass, once you pay, you can always just go there for a couple of hours of fun.

Piece of advice though. Make SURE you have a digital camera with you. You can order the SD memory modules on the internet real cheap. So when you come back you both can have fun, checking the pics out. Then post them on photobucket.com for everyone to see and when you have kids post their pics on there. So when your are dead and buried, and your dust scattered to the four winds, your descendants can see what "bad assess" you were really like. LOL

TIP - You both flip a coin and the other plans where to go. Then the next trip the other decides where to go.

We've been to San Francisco a couple of times, love the city. Last August we spent a few days wandering around. Bought a nice area rug in Chinatown...
Anyway, get on an Alaska Airlines flight and come to Alaska. In just a couple of hours you will be in a completely different world. Spend a week in Anchorage, rent a car and take off in a different direction each morning, return to Anchorage each evening. Great restaurants everywhere, great concerts, lots of history right downtown. Great shopping too! Book a charter boat out of Whittier, Seward, or Homer and catch world class halibut or salmon. Take a drive to Kenai and fish for 100 lb. King salmon on the world famous Kenai River. Hike mountain trails in the crisp clean air, photograph wildlife from the comfort of your car. Sometimes even from your hotel room. Take the train to Fairbanks and see scenery you cannot imagine.
Just as a week in San Francisco wasn't enough for us, a week in Alaska won't be enough for you. But at least you'll know where you want to go on your next two week vacation!
Check out my albums on my 360 page! Lot's of pics of Alaska and a few of San Fran.
