99% of IED attacks fail. They only succeed in killing a US troops when they get lucky.

There are many defenses against IED attacks - most of which the troops are not going to discuss.

Sort of. There are vehicals that will protect the crew from small and medium sized IED, but some of these bombs can be equal to 2000 lbs bombs and there is really no defense against those except to stop them from being made or deployed. I'm thinking many of the guys that died were in near civilian vehicals like supply trucks, on foot or faced very large IEDs. IEDS are not killing our troops daily although they might be killing people daily.

the armor over there is very good and keeps gettin better. i was hit by an ed and was lucky enough to have a messed up back. some terrorists make the ieds so powerful and large that our armor isnt going to do a dman thing. but we keep tryin 2 make improvements
